Position Description Wheeler Mission Ministries is a privately funded 501(c)3 non-profit, evangelical Christian ministry whose designated purpose is religious. Job Title: Director of Volunteer Services Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt Reports to: Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Full or Part-time: Full-time Team: Marketing and Communications Position Summary: The Director of Volunteer Services oversees the Volunteer Ministry of Wheeler Mission by leading a team of paid staff, managing all volunteer policies and processes, including the volunteer life cycle of recruitment, selection, onboarding/training, appreciation/recognition, evaluation, promotion, and exit. This position ensures the needs for volunteers are being met by working with the Volunteer Ministry Team and other key Staff. The Director of Volunteer Services is an advocate for meaningful volunteer engagement and best practices. This position also oversees the use of, training, and functionality of our volunteer management system and database.
