ROLE OVERVIEW The Marketing, Communications and Events Coordinator will play a key operational role within Screen Ireland’s Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs department. The postholder will provide essential administrative, digital, and event support to ensure the effective delivery of marketing, communications, skills promotion, festival activity, and industry engagement. The postholder will provide high‑quality operational support across marketing, communications, digital activity, events, and festivals, ensuring timely and accurate content updates, effective logistical coordination, and strong administrative underpinning for the department’s strategic objectives. They will be expected to work flexibly across all functional areas as organisational needs evolve. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs, the postholder will work in close partnership with the Skills, Inward Production and Games teams, as well as with external skills development stakeholders, while also engaging collaboratively with all internal departments. FUNCTION OVERVIEW The Marketing, Communications, and Public Affairs function at Screen Ireland develops and implements communication strategies that align with Screen Ireland’s goals and ensures a cohesive brand presence. It leads marketing and media campaigns to promote the Irish creative screen industries, manages public relations activities, and secures media coverage. This function builds relationships with international festivals, represents Ireland globally, and oversees Screen Ireland’s presence at key events. The team promotes Screen Ireland’s skills development offering and advances Ireland’s profile as a leading international production location. It fosters strong stakeholder relationships, promotes cross-functional collaboration, and engages employees through effective internal communication. Additionally, it monitors legislative developments, manages procurement and financial activities, and contributes to strategic initiatives with the Executive team. JOB GRADE / REPORTING LINE It is anticipated that in order to have the required skills and competencies, the Executive Officer post will be at the First Point level. REPORTING LINE(S) This role reports to the Communications Executive, as well as working with the wider Marketing and Communications team, to ensure effective communication and team synergy. Reporting structures may be reviewed periodically to reflect business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES This role provides support in the following areas: Communications Support the planning and delivery of Screen Ireland’s annual communications schedule, including activity relating to skills, and games. Draft and prepare newsletters, updates and content promoting skills development initiatives, ensuring timely coordination with the Skills Team. Contribute to the management of Screen Ireland’s social media presence, preparing and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and ensuring consistent representation of Screen Ireland’s activities. Assist in identifying opportunities to strengthen communication reach across platforms and support engagement with industry stakeholders and the wider public. Support compliance with Irish‑language advertising obligations under the Advertising by Public Bodies Act, maintaining accurate records and coordinating materials. Draft content for industry notices, announcements and updates, ensuring accuracy and clear messaging. Marketing Assist in the development of marketing materials that support skills development, and games‑related initiatives, including the preparation of content for Screen Ireland’s website and digital channels. Act as a point of contact for marketing and communications queries from Skills Stakeholder funding recipients and relevant partners. Support oversight of the National Talent Academies brand from a communications perspective, participating in regular coordination meetings. Deputise for the Digital Marketing and Communications Coordinator as required, ensuring continuity of operational activity. Assist with proofing, reviewing and preparing marketing materials in collaboration with design and AV suppliers. Events & Festivals Coordinate a programme of skills‑focused events and next‑generation initiatives (both online and in‑person), including managing invitations, RSVPs, content outlines and logistical arrangements. Provide on‑the‑ground and AV support for Screen Ireland events and promotional activities. Support preparations for international festival participation, maintaining festival lists, tracking asset deliveries and coordinating materials. Work with the Marketing Executive to deliver the operational components of festival and promotional events, ensuring consistent and timely execution. Website & Digital Content Maintain and update content across ScreenIreland.ie ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Oversee the management and content updates of the website, including the course applications and booking system. Coordinate the monthly website Service Level Agreement (SLA), ensuring updates, issues and requests are logged and completed efficiently. Upload news stories, project listings and industry notices, ensuring alignment with brand and accessibility standards. Support digital content readiness for social media and web activity, including formatting assets and uploading copy. Monitor and report on digital performance metrics, supporting data‑driven improvements to online content. Stakeholder & Cross‑Team Support Maintain stakeholder databases, mailing lists and Mailchimp groups to support accurate and effective communication. Prepare and distribute newsletters, bulletins and stakeholder communications in collaboration with internal teams. Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely coordination of communications and updates. Provide operational support for the rollout of departmental campaigns and initiatives, ensuring consistency across teams. Administration, Tracking & Reporting Process procurement documentation, purchase orders, payments and invoices related to marketing and communications activity. Maintain organised trackers
