Barge is making a focused, long-term strategic investment to establish and scale a leading presence in the Florida water market. This initiative reflects the firm’s confidence in Florida’s sustained infrastructure needs and its intent to build a durable, market-leading platform rather than pursue incremental or opportunistic growth. Florida represents one of the nation’s most active and complex water markets, driven by population growth, regulatory demands, resilience needs, and long-term utility investment creating a compelling opportunity for a purpose-built market platform. To deliver on this vision, Barge seeks a senior water-market executive with a proven track record of building businesses, developing high-performing teams, and establishing trusted client relationships. This role is structured as a strategic partnership pairing executive authority with capital investment and performance-based incentives aligned to long-term success. The Florida Water Market Leader will help establish and execute a growth strategy for Barge’s water business across Florida, with an emphasis on Northeast and Central Florida and priority public-sector and utility clients. This is a build-and-scale leadership role. The leader will be empowered to define market strategy, assemble the team, and execute a multi-year growth plan aligned with Barge’s water and public-sector objectives. Responsibilities : Defining and executing a multi-year Florida water market growth strategy Establishing Barge’s brand presence and trusted-client status Leading key client relationships, pursuit strategy, and account development Recruiting, developing, and mentoring a high-performing Florida-based water team Partnering with firm leadership to align growth with Barge’s strategy, culture, and values Lead, strategize and support Barge participation in Florida water and wastewater professional societies; and regional and statewide seminars and conferences Authority : Leads the development of and is the key contributor to Florida’s water market strategy, client prioritization, and geographic focus Authority to recruit and build a Florida Water team of up to ten (10) professionals in Year One Discretionary use of approved signing bonus and business development investments within an agreed business plan Accountability : Responsible for growth trajectory, backlog development, and long-term sustainability of the Florida Water market Performance evaluated against mutually agreed strategic, financial, and organizational milestones
