• Armed Security Officer for Recycling Yard

Job Description:

As an Armed Security Officer , you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc. Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for access control, deterring theft, and hourly patrols.

Shifts: Saturday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Sunday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM + Opportunities for additional shifts

Compensation:

$26.00 per hour

Armed Security Guard Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
• Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.

Armed Security Guard Qualifications:

• Valid BSIS Guard Card & BSIS Firearm Permit (required).
• Current with BSIS Compliance

• i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
• 32-hour continuing education certificates

• Clean driving record and ability to operate company/site vehicles safely.
• Experience working graveyard shifts.
• Required equipment: Tactical vest, handcuffs, and a less-than-lethal device such as a Baton or OC spray.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
