POSITION SUMMARY Signal Metal Industries is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician with either a strong mechanical or electrical maintenance background in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This hands-on position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient operations with minimal downtime. Candidates with expertise in industrial electrical systems, mechanical maintenance, or a combination of both are encouraged to apply. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems Perform emergency repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime Service CNC machines, welding equipment, overhead cranes, presses, and other industrial machinery Diagnose equipment failures and repair or replace faulty components Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety requirements Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and preventive maintenance records Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including motors, pumps, gearboxes, and bearings Perform mechanical repairs, rebuilds, alignments, lubrication, and adjustments Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and motor controls Diagnose and repair PLCs, VFDs, relays, sensors, and machine control systems Work on high-voltage, 3-phase power systems and electrical distribution equipment Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and megohm meters Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams in a fast-paced environment
