MS CHINESE TEACHER - PART-TIME

Classification: Part-Time; Ten months Exempt Reporting: Reports to: Head of the Middle School Anticipated Start Date: 8/13/2026 Job Description Shady Side Academy’s Middle School is seeking a part-time Chinese Teacher for the 2026-27 academic year. The Chinese Teacher will instruct students in grades 6-7 in a language immersion classroom. A successful Middle School Chinese Teacher engages students in meaningful learning experiences that meet their needs and gives them the confidence to take risks with a new language. Primary Responsibilities Keeps students at the center of their decision-making and practice Collaborates with colleagues and supports endeavors that benefit the larger community Cultivates positive partnerships with parents through consistent and transparent communication about their child’s progress Participates in other assigned duties as determined by the Head of the Middle School
