Medical Assistant

Position Description: Assists in the delivery of occupational healthcare and patient management for injuries and other medical testing procedures. Essential Functions: Prepares the examination room for the patient as well as taking patient vital signs and recording vitals in the medical chart With great attention to detail, performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians including: vital signs, vision screenings, audiogram, spirometry, EKG, injections, phlebotomy, drug screen collection, and breath alcohol screening and confirmations. Follows detailed client protocols including: performing and documenting specified procedures and results. Assists the billing department as needed in regards to patient care inquiries. Conducts occasional onsite screening, (i.e. drug and alcohol testing, physicals, flu injections, etc.) Orders medical supplies if required. Performs front office duties as assigned. Works to the established standards of the practice and as instructed. Carries out any other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities: Willing to cover Medical Assistant position in different clinics if required. Serve as a secondary float at any of the Caduceus clinics to meet the needs of our clients. Assists with training of new employees as needed.
