Social Media Associate

Blast is searching for a Social Media Associate to manage the daily creation of content on our social platforms. The ideal candidate would be an experienced social media professional and/or writer with deep knowledge of online communities. Blast is a new startup with more than 50 million monthly unique visitors and tens of thousands of contributing users. As our first ever Social Media Associate, you will leverage that reach and user community to establish Blast as a social network to share any given moment. Responsibilities: Manage the daily output of Genius’ social media accounts Create dynamic social content in collaboration with editors and musicians Collaborate with Social Media Manager, Editor-in-Chief, and management on content strategy development Minimum qualifications: A social media expert with 2+ years of experience running social for a media company Fluent in the best practices and cultures of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, and other emerging platforms Knowledgeable in a wide variety of music genres; a deep understanding of hip-hop and pop music culture are particularly important Comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment
