This role builds and sustains relationships with high-value referral sources, tracks shifts in the private-pay behavioral health market, and develops the referral pipeline that fuels the Signature Program. Success in this role depends on protecting the premium experience clients expect from Brookdale while expanding access to it. This requires partnering closely with clinical and admissions teams, internally, and earning trust with referral partners who serve a discerning client base, externally. Essential Job Functions • Develop and execute account plans and market-entry strategies to grow self-pay referral volume, including in new markets • Conduct ongoing market research on referral source structure, competitive positioning, and buyer/influencer dynamics within the private-pay space • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, coordinating resources to act on them • Cultivate long-term referral relationships with premium-tier sources — private clinicians, educational and therapeutic consultants, concierge medicine practices, wealth and family advisors, attorneys, and interventionists • Maintain regular, high-touch communication with referral accounts, responding to inquiries with a concierge-level standard of service • Serve as the primary liaison between self-pay clients, referral partners, and Brookdale's internal admissions and clinical teams • Partner with senior leaders on strategic initiatives tied to self-pay growth • Become a subject-matter expert on Brookdale's programming, populations served, and the self-pay client journey • Recommend solutions to meet referral source and client needs as they evolve • Track sales performance and self-pay conversion metrics in CRM Knowledge, Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field • Minimum five years of business development experience within behavioral healthcare • Proven experience in marketing, relationship management, or consultative account management in healthcare, with direct exposure to self-pay/private-pay populations • Demonstrated ability to present to and influence leadership at all levels • Track record of sourcing and closing new strategic accounts and referral relationships • Established relationships with decision-makers in healthcare and/or premium private-pay referral networks • Strong working knowledge of B2B relationship management and strategic partnership development Employment Status: Full-Time Schedule: Exempt Work Location: Remote (must be local to Manhattan, New York) Compensation: Pay Range: $100-130K/annually Discovery Behavioral Health seeks to build a diverse staff that is reflective of the patients we serve and the communities where we work. Compensation: Pay Range: $100-130K
