You Are: A driven, inquisitive DevOps specialist who thrives in secure, cloud‑native, and mission‑focused engineering environments. You enjoy solving complex delivery challenges, modernizing enterprise platforms, and accelerating software delivery for federal clients. You lead with automation, champion security, and deliver production‑ready solutions that scale across hybrid and classified environments.

The Work: As a DevOps Engineer SME, you will serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise DevOps strategy, CI/CD architecture, and secure software delivery. You will design and implement automated deployment platforms using GitLab, containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native patterns aligned to AFS accelerators and compliance frameworks. You’ll drive modernization efforts across multiple environments to ensure reliable delivery of applications and machine‑learning solutions while establishing enterprise‑wide DevOps best practices and zero‑trust alignment.

Here is what you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Hands‑on experience designing and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience supporting automated testing and software deployment across multi‑environment pipelines.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar).
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and configuration‑management tools.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex software, infrastructure, and deployment issues.
  • Minimum of an Active Top Secret Clearance

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Experience supporting machine‑learning workflows, MLOps platforms, or AI/ML infrastructure.
  • Experience with source control platforms (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
  • Relevant industry certifications (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Security, DevOps).

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:

$130,000 — $220,000 USD
