About the role

Starting in September

Are you an internationally minded professional, passionate about teaching people? Do you have a can-do mentality, can you push yourself and others forward and are you eager to contribute to The Social Hub's ambitious growth plans?

Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept:

You are the cog that keeps the shared kitchen run smoothly and creating a fabulous bonding and learning experience with our Students. Not only will you be passing on a valuable skill to them but you will also be creating memories in the kitchen that they will probably never forget.

Before you start your Student off in the kitchen, it is important that they learn basic skills, particularly when it comes to safety in the kitchen and allowing them to handle familiar, or new, foods that they can explore before then showing them how you can incorporate them in simple recipes.

You are letting students get involved with the processes and make them more inclined to help out in the future. It probably isn’t a good idea to let them help out with over-complicated dishes, but even a simple job can make them feel involved and learn the discipline of cooking, and washing up is just as important as cooking. Not only will they develop culinary skills that will stay with them, but they will grow to be independent individuals who are able to feed themselves and others.

In Case You Don’t Know Who We Are:

Known for being the rule breakers in hospitality, TSH is a fun, creative and inspiring environment where everyone can work, stay, learn and play and most importantly – be themselves. As an employer we look, act and think like a hotel, but instead we offer a lot more. Think student accommodation, long and short stay options, gyms, talks, events, rooftop bar and eat & drink escapes as well as community and coworking spaces. Located in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, France and Spain with several new openings on the way, this hybrid hospitality concept may take root in the heart of Europe, but our plans are set for going global.

What You’ll Do:

  • Keep all kitchen areas clean
  • Clean all cookware and dining materials to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and make sure that guests have the best service
  • Maintain clean floors
  • Remove broken or defective cooking/dining equipment
  • Ensure that food items are all well stocked
  • Occasionally assist with food preparation

Who are you?

  • A flexible, hands-on, motivated and positive approach
  • Background in various kitchen, preferably in cooking classes <span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559739":160,"335559740":240}
