Job description Position: EMT Full time Part Time available, requirements 1 shift per week. Shift: 12hr and 24hr shifts available Starting Salary Range for Full Time: $45,968.00 - $56,576.00 per year Responsibilities: - Respond to calls and provide medical assistance to patients in need - Assess the patient's condition and administer appropriate medical treatment - Perform basic life support techniques, such as CPR and first aid - Monitor vital signs and provide ongoing care during transportation to the hospital - Communicate with healthcare professionals to relay patient information and receive medical instructions - Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment provided Experience: - Previous experience as an Emergency Medical Technician or similar role preferred - Knowledge of hospital procedures and protocols - Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology - Ability to assess patients' conditions and make critical decisions in high-pressure situations - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals - Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of patients Skills: - Excellent patient assessment skills to quickly evaluate the severity of injuries or illnesses - Proficient in administering basic life support techniques, including CPR and first aid - Knowledge of medical equipment operation and maintenance - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in a compassionate manner - Strong problem-solving skills to make quick decisions in emergency situations Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
