Environmental Area Manager

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, perform a variety of environmental engineering work in designing, installing, operating, and maintaining measuring apparatus necessary to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land and water; recommend appropriate action to assure conformation with federal, state, and municipal legislation and regulations regarding environmental control of acceptable levels of pollution; oversee the planning and installation of equipment revisions relating to the environment; oversee the testing or experiments requiring the use of nonstandard procedures and complex instrumentation; serve as liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies concerned with environmental control; oversee all environmental projects and reporting for a region; review all draft permits, final permits and regulations that affect the business for that region; and other duties as assigned by management.
