About the role
Job Summary This role is for a Manufacturing Operator responsible for executing production operations as per batch records (BMR/BPR) and SOPs, ensuring quality and safety compliance. The position involves machine maintenance, calibration, inventory management, and contemporaneous documentation in GMP systems. You will contribute to operational excellence by adhering to safety norms, participating in toolbox talks (TBTs), reporting near-misses, and supporting CAPA implementation. The role emphasizes continuous improvement through Kaizen and 5S, while ensuring coordination with seniors, co-workers, and cross-functional teams to achieve production goals. Roles & Responsibilities • You will be responsible for executing manufacturing operations as per plan, ensuring quality and safety compliance. • You will be responsible for performing shop floor activities as per BMR/BPR and SOP instructions. • You will be responsible for machine maintenance, calibration, inventory management, and ensuring material availability for batch production. • You will be responsible for making online entries in GMP documents to ensure contemporaneous documentation. • You will be responsible for following safety norms, participating in toolbox talks (TBTs), and reporting near-misses or unsafe conditions. • You will be responsible for executing operations without quality deviations, maintaining compliance at all times. • You will be responsible for supporting continuous improvement through Kaizen and implementing 5S at the workplace. • You will be responsible for coordinating with seniors, co-workers, subordinates, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations. Educational qualification : Diploma/ Graduation in Science, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is mandatory. Minimum work experience: 2+ / 4+ / 6+ years of experience Skills & attributes &Critical exposures Functional Skills • Aseptic Processing • Batch Production • Cleanrooms • Equipment Maintenance • Incident Reporting • Pharmaceutical Batch Documentation • Pharmaceutical Manufacturin • Quality Management Resident Skills • Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPS) • Total Productive Maintenance • Digital Literacy • Good Documentation Practices • Lean Methodologies Behavioural Skills • Safety-first mindset with strong compliance and regulatory alignment • Collaborative across shop floor, engineering, and cross-functional teams • Continuous improvement orientation with problem-solving and innovation Critical exposures • Experience in the setup and operation of equipment used in the manufacturing of sterile products, aseptic filling, lyophilization, and cleanroom operations is desired • Experience in PA/PR, operator exposure bands (OE/OL bands), 7QC tools used in sterile manufacturing processes, such as isolators, RABS, automated visual inspection systems, and sterilization equipment (autoclaves, depyrogenation tunnels), is desired. • Exposure in the manufacturing of oncology and anti-cancer drugs, expertise in high-containment facilities, handling highly potent active pharmaceutical ingredients (HPAPIs) using split-phase butterfly valves (SFBV), and in-process QA/QC is preferred. • Exposure to digital systems, material handling, inventory accuracy, adherence to contamination control protocols, and safety protocols in handling hazardous materials is preferred.
