Location: Nanuet, NY Rate of Pay: 28.00 Per Diem Hours Available: 7a-7p Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; Tuesday 4 hours Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dedicated Mobile Response Team (MRT) Practitioner to join our crisis stabilization services. In this critical role, you will work alongside a Licensed Clinician to respond to emergency, urgent, and routine behavioral health calls. Your primary focus will be assessing individuals in crisis, delivering evidence-based interventions, and building strong follow-up diversion plans to help individuals avoid unnecessary emergency room visits or hospitalizations. This position does not require a professional license but offers an incredible opportunity to provide vital backup duties to licensed staff and gain hands-on clinical triage experience. Primary Responsibilities • Crisis Response: Respond to all MRT dispatch calls in the field alongside the base clinician. • Triage & Assessment: Utilize evidence-based trainings and screening tools to assess routine, urgent, and emergency calls. • Clinician Backup: Act as an authorized backup to the Base Clinician, executing clinical responses under their direction. • Diversion Planning: Develop exceptional, individualized follow-up plans focused on community-based stabilization and diverting ER or hospital admissions. • Linkage & Referrals: Collaborate with external healthcare and community providers to connect individuals to ongoing behavioral health services. • Follow-Up Care: Provide face-to-face follow-up visits with individuals who previously required MRT intervention to ensure stability and continuity of support. Qualifications & Attributes • Certification: Hold a Peer Certification or possess a strong willingness to obtain one upon hire. • Skills: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. • Capabilities: Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to multitask in high-stress, fast-paced environments. • Adaptability: Flexibility to handle evolving functional and organizational tasks as assigned. Education & Experience • Degree: Bachelor's Degree required in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Creative Arts Therapy. • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in a human services related field, and/or relevant lived experience.
