Metals Recycling - Ferrous Material Handler

Principal Objective of Position: The Ferrous Material Handler works with Ferrous Operators to safely sort, upgrade, and process material. The position performs manual labor and outdoor work daily and may be required to work with customers, vendors, and contractors. Move and position raw materials and finished components manually or with the help of material moving equipment where needed. Identify and separate metals materials according to grade. Greet and assist customers in a professional, safe, and productive manner. Operate equipment in compliance with company safety policies and standard operating procedures. Conduct routine equipment inspections and daily inspections sheets. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment including lubricating moving parts, greasing/oiling as needed, and performing minor repairs. Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment when needed and communicate with supervisor and/or maintenance team. Other Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.
