CAD Designer Job Description Department: Engineering Job Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Salary Exempt Reports To: Engineering Design Manager Location: Ponca City, OK Amount of Travel Required: N/A Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday (5:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and Sunday-Thursday (7:00 p.m. – 4 p.m.) Positions Supervised: N/A POSITION SUMMARY: The CAD Designer serves in the Engineering Department. will provide support to senior designers/engineers, product managers, machine shop, layout department and shop floor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.") Create drawings of assemblies, weldments and individual manufactured components used in the fabrication of specialty steel trailers, as well as other various product lines. Design large trailers that are 80,000 and above GVW. (Similar experience may be considered). Think of possible design solutions. Research whether the design will work and be cost-effective. Assess the usability, environmental impact and safety of a design. Observes all safety regulations Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
