Salary: $175,000 - $250,000 plus bonus
🚀 Your Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Product for our AI first tax automation product in New York (hybrid) to lead the strategy, development, and commercial success of one of Xceptor’s most important growth bets.
We are building off a strong SaaS international tax automation product offering and presence and are looking to extend and build new capabilities for the US market.
This role will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for our tax solutions, including:
- Understanding our clients - anticipating their current and future needs
- Keeping pulse of changing industry and regulatory dynamics that impact U.S. Tax in partnership with tax domain experts, legal and compliance
- Developing the long-term vision and strategy for our U.S. Product strategy and creating an execution roadmap
- Building the commercialization and go-to-market strategy in partnership with Sales and cross-functional GTM teams
- Setting the pace, prioritization and execution delivery in partnership with engineering
You will play a critical role in building scalable, high-quality tax capabilities that meet complex regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional customer and business value.
🧩 What You’ll Be Doing:
Product and People Leadership
- Build, coach and lead a team of product managers and cross-functional tribes, setting them up to the best work of their careers
- Develop product craft and culture, raise the performance bar and ensure strategic coherence across initiatives
Customer & Market Insight
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand user needs and market dynamics
- Incorporate customer feedback data and market insight into ongoing product decisions
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for US Tax capabilities, aligned to the broader Solutions portfolio
- Translate high-level strategic direction into clear, actionable product plans and priorities
- Identify opportunities to expand product capability and market coverage
Product Strategy & Execution
- Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, design, data, QA) to identify and build the right solutions that enable our clients and business to thrive
- Develop prototypes and concepts to test and validate ideas for desirability, feasibility and viability
- Translate solutions into prioritized execution roadmap
- Own backlog prioritisation and make trade-offs between scope, speed, and complexity
- Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned to broader platform architecture
Commercialisation & Growth
- Partner with commercial and GTM teams to support product adoption, positioning, and revenue growth
- Contribute to pricing, packaging, and monetisation strategies
- Track and drive key performance metrics (e.g. usage, adoption, customer outcomes)
- Identify and build key partnerships across the U.S. Tax ecosystem
Tax Domain Integration
- Work closely with Tax Domain Principals / SMEs to:
- Translate regulatory requirements into product functionality
- Ensure tax logic is accurate, robust, and compliant
- Monitor regulatory and competitive landscape to inform roadmap priorities
- Balance regulatory complexity with product usability and delivery constraints</li>
