About the role

This position covers Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale Counties. The Construction manager will possess and utilize the knowledge and skills necessary to assist in the successful, efficient and effective operation of CAA in fulfilling its philosophy and purposes, specifically as it relates to the management of the Community Development Rehab Program and related projects, as assigned. Coordinate assigned staff and subcontractors, as required. Coordination to include, but not limited to, review of work plans, schedules, and administration of assigned services and activities. 2. Coordinate project production by monitoring expenditures, ensuring operational performance targets are met, and reporting requirements are completed in a timely and accurate manner. 3. Provide case management and education with customers by conducting assessments, developing service plans which may include temporary relocation, internal and external referrals, and other services which assist in meeting customer needs. 4. Acquire and maintain complete knowledge of, and comply with, required environmental standards, guidelines, federal/state regulations, legal regulation, building and safety codes, and objectives of all programs within 5. Provide outreach and recruitment of clients and follow program procedures for intakes. 6. Manage the day-to-day operations of worksites for new constructions as well as rehab projects, coordinating activities and ensuring that all work is in sync with project goals and objectives. 7. Develop project plans, including work breakdown structure, schedules, and resource allocation. Write specifications and prepare contracts. 8. Maintain all required certifications. 9. Ensure development of professional promotional material that project the agency’s commitment to the provision of quality services. Ensure quality standards are met. 10. Assist with gathering, entering, and analyzing data, preparation of correspondence, and other related duties. 11. Establish and maintain project files which will meet reporting/monitoring/auditing/ certifications requirements of assigned projects. 12. Provide training/direction to assigned staff and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective and timely completion of all projects. Monitor contractor performance. Recruit and vet contractors to participate in our programs. 13. Implement quality control checks and measures. 14. Assure staff and subcontractor compliance with all safety regulations and develop and maintain procedures to ensure compliance. 15. Maintain appropriate and positive conduct during working hours. 16. Maintain excellent public relations with customers and the community-at-large. 17. Attend and participate in trainings, conferences, and other related agency functions, as requested. 18. Maintain a neat and organized work area. 19. Maintain security and confidentiality of customer and agency information and records. 20. Comply with agency policies, procedures, Personnel Policies and Administrative Instructions. 21. Perform all other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Supervisor: Community Development Director Training: All staff will participate in professional development training and ongoing CAA trainings as deemed appropriate by their supervisor.
