Echo Tech/ Cardiac Sonographer

Position Summary TPMG Heart and Vascular is looking for an Echo Tech. The Echo Tech position is responsible for conducting echocardiograms, stress testing (with and without echo), contrast studies and saline bubble studies on patients to determine heart disease. Candidates should have proficient clinical and clerical skills, as well as superb customer service skills. Major Duties and Responsibilities Conduct testing according to standard echocardiography and stress echocardiography protocol and procedures. Prepares preliminary report for interpreting physician review. Records patient information into NextGen. Prepare paperwork prior to patients visit. Review patient files for cardiac history and indication for testing, medications prescribed and cardiac history. Works with the physician to ensure patient testing occurs for all studies in a timely and organized fashion. Prepare patients for stress echo, stress testing or transthoracic 2D echo study. Assists with IAC Accreditation (every 3 years) Other duties as assigned. Compensation starts at $34.79 per hour, with the final hourly rate determined by the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
