Position: General English Program Teacher, Part-Time Location: BridgeEnglish Denver, Downtown (16th Av. & Grant St.) Reports to: Academic Manager Start Date: Immediate Summary of Responsibilities: As a Bridge ESL Teacher, you are committed to providing the highest quality of language service and giving international students the opportunity to communicate in English in a comfortable learning environment. As a General ESL Teacher, you will: Teach General English classes of various levels and skills Foster a positive, energetic and student-centered learning environment Manage the class effectively and promote collegiality and professionalism among students Maintain and update the pedagogical notebooks in each classroom Attend and participate in periodic meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities offered at Bridge Utilize technology in the development of materials and lessons Desired Experience and Skills: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in English or related field and a CELTA/ TEFL Equivalent Certificate (must have an assessed practicum experience). Minimum of 1 year of experience and a demonstrated track record of teaching adult ESL international teaching experience is a plus. Native-level English Speaker Energetic and passionate for teaching Student focus and cultural sensitivity Excellent organization and communication skills Ability to organize, manage, and plan lessons for multiple classes, levels, and skills Adept with technology across platforms for use in the classroom Compensation: Compensation between $18 to $24 per hour depending on education and experience; other benefits offered.
