Role Overview We are now looking for a motivated and skilled Process Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. In this role, you will work on the design, development, and commissioning of Fuel Gas Supply Systems (FGSS) for marine applications. You will collaborate closely with engineering, project, and commissioning teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions that meet class requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations. This position offers a dynamic mix of engineering design, software development, and hands-on commissioning work onboard vessels. Key Responsibilities Contribute to basic and detailed design across both software and hardware Develop application software and reusable templates for FGSS automation Create and maintain project-specific documentation, including control philosophy, logic descriptions, and test procedures Communicate technical topics with internal and external stakeholders Support project management with progress reporting and engineering status updates Perform onboard commissioning of FGSS systems, including loop checks, tuning, and system validation Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues during commissioning and on vessels in operation Key Requirements BSc or MSc in Engineering (Automation, Cybernetics, Process Control, or related field) Strong understanding of P&ID, SCD, and process control sequences Deep knowledge of process control loops, tuning, dynamic behaviour, and commissioning practice Experience with dynamic simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS) is preferred Familiarity with industrial communication protocols: Modbus, Profinet, Profibus Hands-on experience with process loop calibration and commissioning Knowledge of automation hardware for ATEX zones and IS loops Strong programming skills (role is 70–80% software-oriented) Background in Oil & Gas or LNG systems and understanding of gas standards and regulations Familiarity with class regulations (DNV, BV, etc.) and approval processes Knowledge of Gas Safety Systems, Safety PLCs, and Fire & Gas Systems Strong team spirit, proactive mindset, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Why choose us and why we’d choose you?
