Store Cashier

JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Cashier Department: Retail Salary Range: $15.15 Reports to: Retail Manager Employment Status: Seasonal FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY) Cashier will provide outstanding hospitality and customer service to all guests. The cashier will be responsible for handling cash each shift. Perform a variety of tasks as needed to maintain proper presentation of the marina store ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIE Greet customers entering the store and provide excellent customer service; Operate POS register and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently; Follow cash handling policies and procedures to ensure the security of funds; Provide friendly and professional demeanor when answering calls and inquiries from guests, customers, and staff; Assist with merchandising and stocking of products to ensure the store is well organized and visually appealing; Maintain knowledge of current sales and store policies to provide accurate information to customers; Assist customers in finding products and answer product-related questions; Ensure the store and restroom facilities are kept clean, and documenting cleaning times appropriately; Adhere to safety and security protocols, including monitoring for shoplifting or other security concerns; Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.
