With four procedure rooms, the center provides high-quality, cost-effective outpatient surgical and procedural care primarily for GI and Endoscopies. Owned and operated in partnership with BSMH and Gastro Health, Eastgate Surgery Center combines advanced technology with compassionate, patient-centered care in a convenient setting. ROLE SUMMARY The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the cleaning, high-level disinfection, maintenance, and inventory control of endoscopic instruments, equipment, and reusable medical supplies in accordance with nationally recognized standards, regulatory requirements, and center policies to support safe, high-quality patient care. Hours: Monday- Friday, (32-40 hours a week) 7:30am-2:30pm EST WHAT YOU’LL DO • Perform cleaning, inspection, and high-level disinfection of endoscopic instruments and equipment • Demonstrate knowledge of reprocessing equipment and proper use within the processing area • Use, monitor, and document chemical disinfectants according to policy and manufacturer guidelines • Follow established protocols for decontaminating, cleaning, flushing, and disinfecting endoscopic equipment • Inspect instruments and equipment for functionality and integrity • Track loaned instruments and equipment to ensure completeness and timely return • Maintain accurate documentation related to reprocessing and chemical monitoring • Assist in maintaining inventory of endoscopy supplies and equipment • Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements • Perform other duties as assigned WHAT YOU’LL BRING • High school diploma or equivalent required • Knowledge of endoscopy reprocessing and high-level disinfection standards required. • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety • Prior healthcare, endoscopy, or sterile processing experience preferred PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS - Frequent standing, walking, and patient-care activities - Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs (occasionally up to 40 lbs; rarely up to 100 lbs) - Regular interaction with patients of varying ages in a fast-paced clinical environment - Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, and chemical hazards consistent with the surgical setting Compensation & Benefits - Competitive hourly rate (based on experience and qualifications) - Healthcare benefits package - 401(k) with company match - Paid Time Off (PTO) - Supportive, collaborative, and growing environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) and PTO Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development A culture of safety, excellence, and collaboration
