Pre/Post Op Registered Nurse (PRN)

Role Summary The Pre/Post-Operative RN is essential to the smooth and safe operation of our surgery center. You will utilize your experience and clinical judgment to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care from pre-operative preparation through post-operative recovery, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are met. Required Availability: Must have availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays . Core Duties and Responsibilities Patient Assessment & Planning: Evaluate assigned patients, develop individualized nursing care plans, and ensure meticulous documentation of care provided. Clinical Care: Perform various patient tests and safely administer medications within the RN scope of practice. Surgical Support: Assist in the organization and daily function of the operating room environment, ensuring compliance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards, and center policies. Physician Assistance: Assist physicians efficiently and professionally during examinations and surgical procedures. Patient Education: Actively promote patient independence by establishing measurable patient care goals and effectively teaching patients and families about their conditions, medications, and crucial self-care skills for a successful recovery. Compliance: Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, ensuring all activities adhere to all regulatory and center-specific standards.
