Here’s what you can expect when you join our team: Competitive Pay : $20.00–$24.00/hour, depending on experience/education Comprehensive Benefits : Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits Retirement Planning : Colorado PERA retirement plan with optional 401K for long-term savings Time Off : 7 paid personal days annually to support work-life balance Professional Development : Continuous learning opportunities to grow as an educator Your Role and Responsibilities As an Assistant/Intern Teacher at CLA/VPA, you’ll have the opportunity to: Co-Teach and Lead Small Group Instruction : Assist with teaching and classroom lessons while providing targeted support to individual students at either CLA (PK–5) or VPA (6–12) Prepare Instructional Materials : Help with the preparation and distribution of lesson materials, assignments, and resources Support Classroom Management : Assist with grading, behavior management, and overall classroom supervision Help with School Routines : Support daily school routines such as arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess Collaborate with Educators : Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to reinforce a positive, engaging learning environment Who You Are We’re looking for someone who: Has a Positive, Team-Oriented Mindset : You enjoy working with others and contributing to a collaborative, supportive school environment Is Detail-Oriented and Communicative : You are organized, have strong communication skills, and are attentive to the needs of your students Is Willing to Learn : You’re eager to apply for and maintain a Colorado Substitute License and take on new challenges in education Is Ready to Grow : You are passionate about developing as an educator and making a difference in students’ lives
