In 2015, we pioneered a “moneyball for biotech” approach, pooling projects and promising early-stage research from academia together under one financial umbrella to reduce risk and unleash innovation. This model allows science and small teams of experts to lead the way. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease, and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs as fast as humanly possible.

Together we define white space, push boundaries, and empower people to solve problems. If you're someone who defies convention, join us and work alongside some of the most respected minds in the industry. Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma. At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.

What You'll Do

The Director of Commercial Excellence is a senior, cross-functional role responsible for synthesizing and packaging commercial content for Board of Directors (BOD), executive, and Leadership Team consumption. This person will partner closely with the CCO and functional leads across market access, pricing, marketing, and launch planning to translate complex commercial work into clear, well-structured materials for senior stakeholders — while also elevating the broader team's ability to build and present that content effectively.

This role is ideal for someone with a top-tier consulting background (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) who is skilled at structured problem-solving and executive-caliber communication, and who brings a collaborative, low-ego approach to working across functions they do not directly manage.

Key Responsibilities

Board & Executive Reporting

  • Build BOD-ready materials, synthesizing input from commercial, market access, pricing, and marketing teams into clear, decision-ready narratives
  • Prepare compensation committee materials and other executive-level reporting as needed
  • Partner with the CCO and President/CEO to ensure materials reflect current priorities and anticipate senior stakeholder questions

Commercial Content Development

  • Develop and maintain commercial updates tied to launch plans, ensuring consistency across workstreams
  • Translate market access and payer positioning work into clear, structured presentations
  • Support the packaging of pricing and marketing input into cohesive commercial narratives
  • Ensure materials across functions maintain a consistent narrative, format, and level of rigor

Leadership Team Enablement

  • Train and coach members of the Leadership Team on structured, consulting-style slide-building and storytelling (e.g., pyramid principle, executive summary framing, data visualization best practices)
  • Establish templates, standards, and best practices for LT-level materials to reduce rework and improve consistency across functions
  • Act as a resource and thought partner to functional leads preparing their own board- or exec-facing content

Where You'll Work

This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration 3-4 days per week in our San Francisco Office and Palo Alto offices.

Who You Are

  • 4–6 years of experience, including a background in top-tier management consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or equivalent strategic/analytical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to structure complex, ambiguous problems into clear, executive-ready narratives
  • Strong command of slide-building best practices (structured storylines, data visualization, executive summary framing)
  • Experience in biotech, pharma, or healthcare preferred; familiarity with commercial functions such as market access, pricing, or marketing a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort operating at Board and C-suite level
  • A collaborative, humble approach — able to influence and coach peers and senior stakeholders without formal authority over their functions
  • High attention to detail and comfort operating under tight timelines tied to Board and leadership cadences

What Success Looks Like

  • BOD and executive materials are consistently clear, well-structured, and ready with minimal last-minute revision
  • Leadership Team members build stronger, more consistent materials independently over time
  • Cross-functional partners (market access, pricing, marketing) view this role as a trusted thought partner, not a bottleneck or gatekeeper
