The role of an HVAC Install Technician is to use their technical expertise to install, start up, and handle basic troubleshooting for new and replacement systems in residential and light commercial settings. Join us to work for an organization built around the core values of Humility, Integrity, and Respect! What You’ll Do: Replace any heating, air conditioning, or refrigeration equipment/systems. Install new HVAC duct systems in remodeled rooms or buildings. Test electrical circuits and components for continuity using electrical test equipment. Test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks using a pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution. Join pipes or tubing to the equipment and to the fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form a complete circuit. Lay out and connect electrical wiring between the controls and equipment according to the wiring diagram. Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and timers using hand tools. Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions. Work irregular and extended hours, including overtime, when needed. Prepare reports for individual installation jobs, including start-ups, customer specifications, and invoicing. Establish rapport with customers through active listening. Train customers on how to understand their new HVAC systems. Assist with onsite training for coworkers.
