Mainstay was founded in 1975 to provide services to people with mental illness, and our mandate has since expanded to cover a variety of vulnerable populations, including low-income elders; people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities; and the recently homeless. Join us in bringing meaningful, programmatic support to individuals who have been historically underserved and marginalized, including those with experiences of alcoholism, addiction, and homelessness. We are seeking Part Time (16-24 hours per week) team members who are driven by purpose and dedicated to making a lasting impact through person-centered care and supportive services. What You'll Do: The Enrollment Specialist Intern will be embedded at a partnering agency site, in the Boston South End, working independently to guide clients through the multi-step program enrollment process. This is a hands-on, relationship-centered role well suited for students in Public Health, Public Health Administration , Social Work or related human services programs who are passionate about working with u nderserved populations . Key Responsibilities: Support clients through all stages of the program enrollment process, working independently at a partnering agency site Collect and track required medical forms from clients' primary care providers (PCPs) Coordinate scheduling and logistics for nursing and care management visits Serve as a consistent, friendly point of contact for clients navigating paperwork and appointments Maintain accurate documentation of enrollment status and outstanding tasks Collaborate closely with the program team to flag barriers and problem-solve in real time Assist with follow-up outreach to clients, PCPs, and partner agencies as needed
