About the role
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the workshop and site end-to-end movement, storage, and setup of materials, equipment, and technology requirements for events. This role ensures that all materials, equipment, and technical resources are sourced, transported, installed, and dismantled on time and within budget. The supervisor manages a team of logistics personnel and works closely with workshop team, vendors, and site managers to facilitate a seamless activity. Key Responsibilities 1. Workshop & Event Planning o Develop detailed logistics plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and material requirements for events. o Create and manage detailed kit lists for events material and equipment. o Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of material and equipment. 2. On-Site Supervision & Execution o Supervise and manage the logistics for events setup, operation, and dismantling. o Ensure compliance with health and safety standards along all logistics phases. o Act as the primary point of contact for technical or logistics problems during the event. 3. Inventory & Asset Management o Manage the inventory, storage, and maintenance of all event-related materials, ensuring equipment is up-and-running at all times. o Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and report on stock levels. 4. Team & Vendor Management o Lead and train logistics staff and assign daily tasks to them according to schedule. o Manage third-party logistics providers (3PL) and vendors to ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance. 5. Budgeting & Reporting o Assist in developing and adhering to budgets for logistic operations. o Analyze logistics data to identify process improvements for better efficiency and cost- effectiveness. Required Skills & Qualifications • Experience: 5+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or event operations. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and logistics management software. • Operational Knowledge: Thorough understanding of transport management, inventory control, and warehousing with basic understanding of event construction materials (welding, carpentry, printing, foam, fabric). • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities to manage a team under high-pressure, deadline-driven scenarios. • Personal Skills: Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Typical Working Conditions • Environment: Must be able to work in a workshop environment, which may include loud noise, dust, and heat, with some on-site installation work. • Hours: May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet event deadlines. • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle tight deadlines and to work on site, which may include lifting, standing for long periods, and working in varied conditions.
