Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supports the delivery of speech and language services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLPA assists in implementing treatment plans, documenting student progress, and helping students improve communication skills that impact academic and social success. Key Responsibilities - Implement speech and language therapy activities as directed by the supervising SLP - Provide direct services to students in individual and small group settings - Follow and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy goals - Collect data and document student progress toward goals - Assist the SLP with preparing therapy materials and activities - Maintain accurate and timely service logs and documentation - Support classroom carryover of communication strategies - Collaborate with teachers and staff to reinforce student goals - Participate in team meetings, as appropriate - Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and district policies
