Maintenance Technician Job Description Department: Production Maintenance Job Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: Hourly Reports To: Maintenance Manager Location: Ponca City, OK Amount of Travel Required: N/A Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Positions Supervised: N/A POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing forklifts, fleet vehicles, and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses mechanical and electrical issues, and completes timely repairs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who is committed to workplace safety, equipment reliability, and supporting uninterrupted day-to-day operations across the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.") Perform maintenance functions, making repairs in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems with minimal guidance from the maintenance supervisor. Troubleshoot and conduct mechanical and electrical repairs. Provide training in your areas of expertise. Respond to work orders submitted by employees. Assist in ordering parts and developing a preventative maintenance program. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Support the installation of new equipment and facility upgrades. Work safely by following all safety rules, policies, and procedures, and report unsafe conditions to your supervisor. Maintain compliance with company quality systems and support audits. Engage in basic design and fabrication of repairs and process improvements. Performs other duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
