Position Summary:
Axonius Federal Systems (AFS), the federal subsidiary of Axonius, is seeking an organized, proactive, and eager-to-learn Executive Assistant to support our leadership team. As our first EA hire, this is a unique opportunity to help shape how executive and office operations are delivered as AFS scales, and to grow a career in the fast-moving federal cybersecurity industry. Rather than a traditional one-to-one support model, the EA will act as a proactive operator and connector across the AFS leadership team, with primary support to the GM & SVP and several functional heads plus coordination across the broader team.
We are especially excited about candidates who are curious about artificial intelligence and eager to put it to work, finding new ways to use AI tools to run office and executive operations as efficiently as possible. This role is ideal for someone who pairs professional polish and executive presence with genuine hunger to learn, highly organized, comfortable in fast-paced, mission-driven environments, and quick to exercise sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex calendars across multiple leaders, keeping meetings purposeful, prioritized, and well-sequenced, with prep time and transitions built in to reduce scheduling friction.
- Explore and adopt AI tools to run office and executive operations more efficiently, including scheduling, communications, document prep, research, and recurring administrative work.
- Anticipate leader needs: prepare agendas, briefing materials, and follow-up documentation, and track action items through to completion.
- Coordinate travel, expense submission and tracking, and cross-functional logistics across AFS leaders and Axonius Inc. partners, reducing friction in joint work.
- Support office operations by keeping the Reston office organized, stocked, running smoothly, and ready for team presence, client visits, and leadership events (roughly 2–3 days per week on-site).
- Plan and support leadership meetings, All Hands, customer meetings, and offsites (logistics, materials, technology, follow-up); draft and edit executive communications and presentations.
- Manage confidential information with discretion, stay ahead of conflicts and gaps, and continually identify ways to improve workflows and operating rhythms as the organization scales.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of professional experience that demonstrates executive presence, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with senior leaders. This need not all be in an Executive Assistant capacity and should be paired with genuine hunger to learn and grow into an executive support and operations role.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a proactive, anticipatory approach and strong written and verbal communication.
- High level of discretion in handling confidential information, and comfort supporting multiple leaders and preparing agendas, briefing documents, and presentation decks.
- Curiosity about and enthusiasm for artificial intelligence, with eagerness to learn and apply AI tools to make operations more efficient.
- Willingness to work in a dual-system environment (AFS & Axonius) with on-site flexibility in Reston, and readiness to learn tools such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Greenhouse, ADP, and Slack. </li
