About the role

We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team in Montréal, Québec. Under the supervision of the Team Leader, the Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling various types of equipment while providing regular updates to their supervisor. Responsibilities Perform preventive, general, and periodic maintenance on engins such as excavators and forklifts Diagnose reported issues and determine their causes Carry out minor and major repairs on vehicles, including: Engines Hydraulic systems Pneumatic systems Braking and steering systems Electrical and electronic circuits and networks, as well as transmission components Complete work orders and inspection sheets, detailing the tasks performed Ensure proper use and functioning of company equipment Notify the immediate supervisor of any unplanned actions required, detected issues, or time overruns Keep the work area clean and safe Work safely and in compliance with the company’s health and safety policies and procedures Perform any other related duties as required To join our team: Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in construction machinery mechanics or equivalent training, with skills in electricity, hydraulics, diesel engines, transmissions and welding. Minimum of three years' experience as a construction mechanic, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid class 5 driver's license (mandatory). Possession of a complete toolbox (imperial and metric systems). Proven ability to work independently and proactively solve problems. Versatility, rigor and attention to detail.
