Position Overview As a Construction Project Manager - MEP , you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Controls construction activities for large-scale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects. You will oversee project budgets, schedules, subcontractor performance, procurement activities, and customer relationships while ensuring critical MEP systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements. This role requires strong knowledge of MEP construction practices, system integration, commissioning requirements, and project execution strategies. Success requires effective leadership, financial management, communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives. This position is ideal for a construction professional who enjoys leading complex MEP construction projects from preconstruction through startup, commissioning, and project turnover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of MEP construction scopes across mission-critical and infrastructure projects.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, equipment vendors, field leadership, and project stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, schedules, contracts, submittals, and construction documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Support proposal development, procurement activities, constructability reviews, and project execution planning efforts.
- Identify project risks, coordination challenges, schedule impacts, and constructability concerns while developing practical solutions.
- Ensure MEP construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.
What You'll Do
- Manage MEP construction activities supporting hyperscale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure developments.
- Collaborate with engineering, field operations, procurement, commissioning, quality, and project controls teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project reviews involving HVAC systems, cooling infrastructure, electrical distribution, backup power systems, controls, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Support project planning, scheduling, procurement, startup, commissioning, and execution strategies to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project progress, financial performance, productivity metrics, and stakeholder commitments to support successful project outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders while serving as a trusted leader throughout project delivery.
