Position Summary : We are looking for an experienced Litigation Counsel to join our Legal Team as our Deputy General Counsel. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience litigating restrictive covenant matters, including non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality disputes. This role also requires deep expertise in advising on pre-hire and post-hire candidate counseling, particularly in high-risk or competitive hiring scenarios. The successful candidate must be comfortable appearing in court for hearings, motions, and trials, and will play a critical role in shaping litigation strategy across the organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across the business on high-impact issues, advising executives and teams on legal risk and dispute resolution strategies while balancing business objectives. Duties and Responsibilities : Lead and manage all aspects of litigation involving restrictive covenants, errors and omissions, and contractual disputes, from pre-litigation strategy through resolution, including trial or hearing. Appear in court to argue motions, attend hearings, and conduct trials as necessary. Provide strategic counseling on hiring and onboarding practices, including pre- and post-hire risk assessments and mitigation strategies. Move quickly to obtain or defeat temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions in restrictive covenant disputes, often on an expedited or emergency basis. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to disputes and settlements. Select, retain, and supervise outside counsel, manage budgets, strategy, and case outcomes. Provide strategic advice to business leaders on potential litigation risks, dispute avoidance, and contract enforcement. Develop and execute effective strategies for arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. Work closely with teams across Legal, Finance, and Operations to identify risks early and ensure alignment with business objectives. Prepare regular litigation reports and updates for executive leadership. Significantly contribute to the development of litigation protocols and e-discovery management systems. Monitor legal trends and regulatory developments that may affect the company’s litigation exposure Coordinate with the General Counsel on overall litigation strategy, prioritization, and resource allocation across the Legal Department.
