MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

JOB SUMMARY: Performs all aspects of maintenance and preventive maintenance on production equipment, building equipment, office equipment, building and grounds to ensure quality and efficiencies for the organization are met. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs line set-up activities in an efficient, timely manner. Provides line adjustments and preventive maintenance to maintain efficient line operation. Assists in the maintenance and repairs of production equipment, building and grounds. Keeps maintenance log as required. Keeps maintenance supervisor advised of equipment spare parts needed. Coordinates with department supervisors when machines must be taken off line for maintenance. Works on high voltage electrical equipment and wiring to perform repair and installations. Oversees contractor work for facility modification and repair. Is trained and works in compliance with all plant and departmental standard operating procedures and safety procedures. Maintains plant safety systems so that they are operational. Other duties as assigned
