POSITION SUMMARY: Provide responsible supervision of infants, toddlers and school age children placed in your care while parents/guardians are elsewhere in the facility. Must be actively involved and attentive at all times. Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of children under your supervision. Follows all procedures and standards. Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families. Maintains a professional attitude in all circumstances. Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies. Communicates with parents/guardians regarding children's behavior or illness. Ensures that accident reports and reportable condition forms are filled out completely and submitted in a timely manner. Notify supervisor of any problems or issues that arise during shift. Assists with any other duties as assigned.
