We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer – Manual & Cypress As Senior QA Engineer, you will Design test scenarios, execute manual and automated tests, maintain quality and CI/CD compliance. Permits is a SaaS platform that digitalizes and automates environmental and construction permitting processes, enabling authorities to manage applications, compliance checks, and regulatory workflows through scalable, API-driven systems. Key responsibilities: Translate product requirements and user stories into reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions Implement solutions respecting the company’s processes Debug and resolve technical issues with minimal user impact Contribute to technical hygiene (refactoring, tech debt reduction, dependency management) Collaborate with the Architecture team on scalable patterns Continuously update technical knowledge and share expertise with team members Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit tests, and adherence to standard Participate in Agile ceremonies and support mentoring Required technical skills: Must: Strong experience defining test cases, Cypress, API testing, agile QA process Nice to Have: Playwrite, generative AI-assisted testing, JIRA & Confluence, XRay Further requirements: Minimum 5-6 years of experience in related role Strong soft skills: autonomy, initiative, communication Strong QA mindset, self-driven improvement Ownership mindset Fluent spoken English, French is a plus Occasional travel Remote work experience is a plus Autonomy, sense of responsibility, self-driven Analytical skills, organization, team collaboration Mentoring capabilities and technical leadership What the company offers: Flexible and dynamic work environment, 4 HO days Competitive salary + variable Employee contract, salary paid in Hungarian currency International environment (France, Netherlands, Hungary) Agile & Scrum methodologies High-impact products Leading European Construction Tech company Strong technical ownership Office: 1122 Budapest + 4 HO days
