About the role

Position Summary Colorado Network Staffing (CNS) is seeking a knowledgeable and service-oriented HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations across the employee lifecycle. This position serves as a trusted resource to employees and managers and supports recruitment, onboarding, payroll and timekeeping, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, training, HRIS administration, and records management. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with modern human resources information systems and supporting regulated, public-sector, education, or healthcare organizations is strongly preferred. Essential Functions Human Resources Operations Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, leave, and general employment questions. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, personnel files, HR forms, and HRIS data. Process employee changes, including hires, transfers, compensation updates, status changes, and separations. Support the development, implementation, and consistent administration of HR policies and procedures. Assist with employee engagement, recognition, retention, and workplace culture initiatives. Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and offer preparation. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide a positive candidate experience. Coordinate pre-employment requirements, new-hire paperwork, orientation, onboarding, and employment eligibility verification. Ensure onboarding materials, system access, and required training are completed accurately and on schedule. Payroll, Benefits & Leave Administration Support payroll and timekeeping processes by reviewing timecards, deductions, leave balances, garnishments, and employee changes for accuracy. Coordinate benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, employee questions, and vendor communications. Administer or support leave programs, including FMLA, workers’ compensation, disability, and other applicable leave requirements. Assist with benefits reconciliation, payroll audits, and resolution of employee pay or benefit discrepancies. Employee Relations & Compliance Respond to employee concerns professionally and escalate complex employee relations matters as appropriate. Support workplace investigations, corrective action documentation, performance management, and policy interpretation. Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and reporting requirements. Assist with EEO-1, COBRA, unemployment claims, workers’ compensation, background checks, and other required HR reporting or documentation. Protect sensitive employee information and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professional judgment. HRIS, Reporting & Process Improvement Maintain employee data and workflows within the organization’s HRIS, payroll, recruiting, benefits, and timekeeping systems. Prepare HR reports, track key metrics, review data for accuracy, and support audits and compliance reviews. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee self-service, documentation, and system utilization. Support HR technology implementations, upgrades, testing, data cleanup, and user training as needed. Training & Organizational Support Coordinate or facilitate employee and supervisor training on HR policies, compliance, systems, and workplace practices. Support performance review cycles, compensation projects, employee surveys, and organizational development initiatives. Collaborate with leadership and other departments to support workforce needs and organizational priorities. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Three (3) or more years of progressive experience in human resources, payroll, recruiting, benefits administration, or a related HR function. Hands-on experience using at least one major HRIS, payroll, or human capital management platform, with a strong preference for UKG, ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, or Workday. Working knowledge of employment laws and HR practices, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, COBRA, and wage-and-hour requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels. Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and sound judgment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
