For more information, visit www.worldbank.org The World Bank Country Office in Kyiv supports the preparation and implementation of the World Bank’s program in Ukraine and provides operational, administrative, security, and logistical support to staff, visiting missions, and official visitors. Given the demanding operating environment, the Country Office requires a highly reliable and service-oriented Driver who can provide safe transportation and related logistical support in accordance with World Bank policies, Ukrainian law, and applicable security protocols. Key Responsibilities • Safely and professionally drive World Bank staff, consultants, and official visitors to meetings, airports, railway stations, official events, field locations, and other authorized destinations. • Plan routes and travel times in advance, taking account of traffic, road conditions, security restrictions, curfews, air-raid alerts, checkpoints, and other operational considerations, and adjust routes promptly when required. • Operate assigned vehicles, including armored vehicles where appropriately trained and certified, in full compliance with Ukrainian traffic laws, World Bank rules, and instructions issued by the Country Office security team. • Ensure the safety, comfort, and professional treatment of passengers, including assisting with luggage, documents, and arrival/departure logistics as appropriate. • Conduct required daily vehicle inspections, including checks of fuel, oil, coolant, battery, brakes, tires, lights, emergency equipment, communications equipment, and overall cleanliness and roadworthiness. • Ensure that assigned vehicles are serviced in accordance with manufacturer and World Bank requirements; arrange routine maintenance and repairs; identify and promptly report defects or safety concerns; and perform minor vehicle-related tasks within the limits of the incumbent’s training and authorization. • Maintain complete and accurate vehicle records, including trip logs, mileage, fuel and oil purchases, maintenance, repairs, inspections, and other required documentation. • Ensure that vehicle registration, insurance, permits, emergency supplies, and all other required documents and equipment are valid, complete, and available in the vehicle. • Follow required procedures in the event of an accident, breakdown, medical emergency, security incident, or other disruption, including immediate notification of the supervisor and relevant security and administrative focal points. • Deliver and collect official mail, documents, pouches, supplies, and other authorized items, maintaining appropriate chain of custody and confidentiality. • Support official missions, workshops, conferences, and high-level visits, including airport and railway station pick-ups and drop-offs and other transport coordination as assigned. • Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality concerning passengers, routes, official conversations, documents, schedules, and other information encountered in the course of duty. • Provide courteous, responsive, and service-oriented support and maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times. • Perform other related transportation, administrative, or logistical duties assigned by the supervisor, consistent with the level and purpose of the position.
