About the role

As an Lincoln Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of client facilities and campus buildings. You will perform routine and specialized cleaning activities to provide a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for occupants, visitors, and clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain assigned buildings, common areas, offices, classrooms, restrooms, break rooms, and other facility spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, polish, and sanitize floors, surfaces, fixtures, and furnishings.
  • Clean and restock restroom supplies including soap, paper products, and sanitation materials.
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
  • Identify and report maintenance, safety, security, or facility concerns to management.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and utilize cleaning products in accordance with company policies, manufacturer guidelines, and safety procedures.
  • Assist with room setups, special events, seasonal cleaning, and other facility support activities as needed.
  • Maintain janitorial closets, carts, tools, equipment, and supply inventories in an organized manner.
  • Respond to service requests and cleanup needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow all applicable safety, environmental, and infection prevention procedures.
  • Support emergency response and weather-related facility preparedness activities as assigned.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with building occupants, visitors, vendors, and team members.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One (1) year or more of janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete assigned work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and respond effectively to changing facility needs.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, and carrying supplies and equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive cleaning activities throughout the workday.

This position is 100% in-office . The role requires working in office during standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option for this position.
