About the role
The Role
The Primary Production Scheduler owns the master production schedule across pre-roll manufacturing and flower packaging, translating demand signals into executable daily and weekly plans. This role is the connective tissue between demand, inventory, materials, and production capacity, ensuring the right products are planned at the right time with the right resources in place. Equally important, the role leads the network of site-based Production Schedulers as a player-coach, building scheduler capability, standardizing how scheduling gets done across facilities, and driving continuous improvement of the scheduling function itself.
This is a critical leadership and operational role for a detail-oriented, systems-minded professional who thrives on bringing order to complexity and proactively solving scheduling challenges before they become production disruptions. The Primary Scheduler succeeds by elevating the schedulers around them, through coaching, standard work, and continuous improvement, so the scheduling function consistently delivers reliable, executable plans across every GTI site.
Responsibilities
Production Scheduling
- Build and maintain the network-level master production schedule across all SKUs, aligned to demand signals, inventory targets, and material availability
- Apply pull-based scheduling logic to minimize WIP accumulation, reduce lead times, and improve finished goods flow predictability across the network
- Translate weekly demand plans into executable daily shift-level schedules; communicate clearly to operations, quality, and site teams
- Maintain scheduling tools and data integrity; continuously improve scheduling accuracy, horizon visibility, and plan reliability
- Manage schedule changes proactively, communicating impacts, adjusting priorities, and realigning stakeholders as conditions shift
Capacity & Constraint Management
- Proactively identify network-level capacity constraints, material gaps, labor limitations, and scheduling conflicts; escalate to VP, Production with recommended solutions
- Monitor WIP levels and finished goods availability against targets; flag aging inventory and flow disruptions for rapid resolution <span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,&q
