Fire & Security Alarm Installation Technician

Job Summary: This position is designed to install new security and fire systems, and to add new equipment to existing security systems. The incumbent must also prepare paperwork for programming of new and existing security systems. The incumbent should positively represent the company. Job Requirements: The incumbent should have experience in low voltage wiring and should possess professional customer relations skills. Experience in installation of CCTV, access control, intrusion, and fire systems are strongly desired but not required. The incumbent must also provide his or her own basic hand tools (screwdriver, hammer, small hand tools, etc.). A clean driving record and some out of town travel are required. A high school diploma or GED, good communication and customer service skills, basic computer experience, and electrical experience are needed. IT & networking experience is helpful. Current BASA/FASA certification is desired but not required. Job Responsibilities: Certify systems Fire, Intrusion, and Access Control Wire and mount equipment Download and test new and old security systems Maintain inventory records Submit completion paperwork Various projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned Reporting Relationships : This position reports to the Regional Installation Manager.
