Traffic Project Engineer

This position will report to the Georgia Department of Transportation at the District 5 office in Jesup, GA through direct, on-site work. Supports engineering projects, document development and design, and performs other related tasks. Works on multiple small projects with few complex features as a technical lead or portions of larger conventional projects. Responsibilities: Assist in project scope and budget development, as well as, assisting in project design. Supports PM providing technical leadership on conventional projects. Designs experiments, interprets, and develops conclusions on complex data. Writes and reviews engineer specifications, documents, drawings, etc. to produce various deliverables. Designs a component, or process on a complex projects or designs complete a project, systems, or components on conventional projects. Responsible for completing a subset of project documents. Participate in client meetings, as appropriate. Conducts on-site visits to monitor progress of project. Performs other duties as requested.
