Lead QA Engineer

Job Description: As a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, you will define the quality vision, strategy, and roadmap across teams. You will lead large-scale quality initiatives including the integration of AI-driven testing and automation capabilities mentor engineers, and ensure that quality remains a core engineering principle across the organization. What’s required of you ● 10+ years of software quality assurance experience, with a proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing QA teams. ● Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA principles, release management, and cross-functional delivery in Agile environments. ● Demonstrated experience in people management, including performance management, coaching team members, supporting career growth, and building high-performing QA organizations. ● Pragmatic decision-making ability to balance high-quality standards, business priorities, and delivery timelines while making informed, risk-based decisions. ● Experience driving test automation, QA tooling, and innovation, including evaluating and integrating AI-assisted testing practices to improve team velocity and efficiency. ● Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the proven ability to influence cross-functional decisions through data, metrics, and clear quality insights. ● Proven experience in QA planning, resource allocation, and capacity management, with a track record of scaling quality frameworks across multiple teams. What we are looking for ● Define and drive the overall QA strategy, roadmap, and quality vision across multiple teams and products. ● Own QA planning, including sprint POC allocation, workload balancing, and capacity management. ● Establish quality standards, testing processes, and release-governance mechanisms across teams. ● Drive quality metrics, dashboards, trend analysis, and leadership-level reporting. ● Lead initiatives around automation frameworks, QA tooling, productivity improvements, and AI adoption. ● Build, mentor, and develop high-performing QA teams through coaching, feedback, and succession planning. ● Define hiring frameworks, participate in interviews, and establish onboarding and capability-development programs. ● Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to improve delivery, quality, and operational excellence. AI Skills ● Deep understanding of emerging AI capabilities in software testing. ● Experience defining AI-driven quality strategies. ● Ability to evaluate new tools, workflows, and industry practices. ● Passion for continuously evolving the QA function through innovation.
