Lead - Java Fullstack Developer

We are hiring two (2) Leads with Java Fullstack development experience to work on an Insurance project in Tokyo. Responsibilities: Design scalable microservices, manage system integrations, and optimize database schemas Develop modular user interfaces and build high-performance, secure backend APIs and frontend applications Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers Backend Development: Build secure business logic and microservices using Java and frameworks like Spring Boot. Frontend Development: Design responsive user interfaces with Angular or React. API Integration: Develop and expose robust RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints to bridge the frontend and backend. Database Management: Design schemas, write optimized queries, and manage data via relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL options (MongoDB). Deployment & DevOps: Containerize applications using Docker and support CI/CD deployment pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Quality Assurance: Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Jest) and participate in peer code reviews. Should have worked in Agile lifecycle and have good understanding on how Scrum teams operate Collaboratively work with cross functional teams Requirements 10+ years of work experience out of which at least 2-3 years of experience as a Lead managing/mentoring a team of junior developers Good hands-on knowledge of Java (JDK 8/11/17+), JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 Knowledge of Core Java, Spring MVC, Java Spring Boot, API Microservices, Python Experience in Angular or React.js Working knowledge of Database – MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server Working experience in GitHub, Tomcat and Maven Experience with AWS Services: S3, ECS, RDS Exposure and participation in Agile / Scrum environment Japanese language preferred, not essential
