ProSidian Seeks a Principle Industrial Hygiene Technician - Engineering [IH102] Engagement Team | SCA - Labor Hour Subcontract located Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina supporting a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRMC]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. This as a Labor Hour Subcontract or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. JOB OVERVIEW Provide services and support as a Principle Industrial Hygiene Technician [IH102] at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task. Take the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Applies technical experience in Industrial Hygiene (IH) and uses other technical resources to resolve complex problems. Incorporates advanced technical practices and a variety of complex features such as complicated technical requirements, application of new or special materials or processes and difficult coordination of oversight requirements into problem solving and program planning. Provides leadership in determining solutions to complex problems and be recognized as having expertise in a functional area of IH. Provides direction and position responsibility, both inside and outside department lines for programs seeking new approaches to problems and new application of existing IH principles. Evaluates the results of program assessments and prepares reports and recommendations based on these evaluations. Identifies and recommends improvements where established technology components and methodology are inadequate for solution. Keeps informed of the advancement of technology as applied through area of expertise. Communicates results and objectives verbally and in manuscript form to customers, colleagues and management. Maintains expertise in area of specialty through technical literature and involvement in national professional organizations.
