Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to support the quality of our operational processes and outputs.

In this role at Spire, you will conduct detailed process audits, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to materials, equipment, processes, and products. You will be responsible for implementing our robust quality control systems, as well as driving corrective actions to address any discrepancies.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will collaborate closely with managers and team leads, to implement effective quality measures within their respective teams.

What You’ll Do as a Quality Engineer:

• Internal Quality Management : Drive the resolution of non-conformances through Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes, both in our cleanroom and on operational satellites. Monitor, evaluate, and report on in-process quality performance.

• Supplier Quality Management : Manage nonconformance issues with suppliers, track and report on supplier performance, review documentation, and serve as a liaison for engineering technical inquiries.

• Quality Management System (QMS) : Develop, maintain, and ensure adherence to QMS documentation to support continuous improvement and compliance.

• Auditing : Conduct internal audits in accordance with AS9100 standards and participate in external supplier audits to ensure quality standards are met.

• Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) : Assist in the validation of engineering changes to our spacecraft, and their implementation.

• Documentation : Support the creation and modification of Quality Control Notices (QCNs), manufacturing workflows, and work instructions to ensure accurate and efficient processes.
