Job Purpose: - The Manager of Infection, Prevention & Control at BRAZOS VALLEY COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY INC is responsible for overseeing and implementing effective infection control policies and procedures. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors by minimizing the risk of infection within the healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and monitor infection control programs and policies in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices. - Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of improvement in infection prevention and control. - Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control practices and protocols. - Collaborate with healthcare teams to investigate and manage outbreaks, ensuring swift and effective response to infection-related incidents. - Maintain accurate records and reports related to infection control activities and outcomes. - Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in infection prevention and control to continuously enhance the agency's practices. - Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with national and local infection control standards.
